About...

I am a painter working in acrylics.
I have developed a unique style through my Lindisfarne paintings, of emphasised geometries bringing together built and natural forms in an abstracted composition. I use the same semi abstract emphasis of geometry for industrial riverside subjects and rocky North East coast studies. In contrast to this I also paint the wild upland landscapes of the North East using big expressive brushstrokes. I particularly love the cold winter colours of North Northumberland.

My work is exhibited at The Biscuit Factory Gallery in Newcastle and The Old School Gallery, Alnmouth.

My work is only sold as originals, I do not make prints, however a signed, limited edition illustrated books of my paintings "NORTHUMBRIAN LANDSCAPES" and "100 Paintings" is available through my website.

My studio is at The Biscuit Tin, Warwick St. Heaton, Newcastle-upon-Tyne where I show a range of original paintings alongside work in progress. By appointment only.
Commissions based on my portfolio of work will be considered.

Please note: many of my paintings are 50cm x 50cm SQUARE so please click on individual thumbnails to see the uncut true image.
