After 30 years in the creative industry, my life’s journey has swept me to the North East of England where I am a member of Network Artists North East, and fulfilling my dream of living closer to the sea.
I have loved the ocean for as long as I can remember. Watching the waves crash against the shore was a rare treat for a child born and raised in the Midlands, but I took every opportunity to share that experience with my own children. My love drew me to sailing, which is a passion that continuously inspires my work. The movement, the colour, the light – the calm and the storm, all spark something deep within my soul.
I use acrylic, oils, pastels, airbrush and pencil to capture the ephemeral spirit of the ocean, the radiance of the skies, and the resilient landscapes between them.
